Water Well Registration Form

Why do I need to register my well?
Well registration protects you and the water you pump from that well. By knowing
where your well is located, the district can determine how close a new well may be
drilled to your well, reducing the impact of the new well on your ability to pump
water.  In addition, all new wells must be registered with the district, per rule 6.2 of the
Rules of the Guadalupe County Groundwater Conservation District: “All new wells
must be registered by the well owner, well operator, or water well driller. Registration
may be by mail or telephonic document transfer, using a form provided by the District.
Registration may also accompany the District required Well Log.  There will not be a fee
for well registration.”

Will registration cost me money?
Well registration is free.  All we need is a few minutes of your time to fill out the form
and return it to the district.
