Monitoring Wells

Monitoring Well  Program

GCGCD has established a network of groundwater monitoring wells across the District to aid in identifying the impacts of production in the aquifers as it relates to the desired future conditions.

The District monitors water levels three times a year (January, June, and September) in select observation wells and maintains a database of water levels for comparison.  Measurements of water level declines and the achievability of the desired future conditions (DFCs) are summarized in reports in accordance with the District's Management Plan.
